The “Lionardo” has a deep ruby-red colour.
It has an intense bouquet, with notes of underbrush and hints of red fruit.
The flavour is intense, with good body, a pleasant hint of tannins and finishes with great length.

Ideal With:

Red or white roasted or stewed meats.

The vineyard from which this wine is produced, is situated on a hill.
It is the highest in the Estate, at approximately 350 metres above sea level; the soils are schistose and very well-drained. At the end of August the plants are pruned and around 1 kg of grapes remains on each.

The grapes are hand-harvested, de-stemmed and sorted manually, and are then pressed and gravity-fed to the vinification tanks, where the fermentation and the maceration take place.
At a later stage, the wine is gently filtered, poured into barriques and then bottled.

“Il Lampaggio” has an intense mauve colour, with purplish reflections.
The bouquet is full, strong and concentrated, with notes of underbrush and spicy scents.

Taste:

It is dry, with good body and soft – well integrated tannins, giving the wine a long and persistent finish.

Ideal With:

Roasted or stewed meats and mature cheeses.

The grapes are hand-harvested, de-stemmed and sorted manually, and are then pressed and gravity-fed to the vinification tanks.

Each variety is vinified separately.
Once the wine is separated from the skins, the malolactic fermentation takes place.
Maturation in casks (barriques) lasts 12-14 months; after this period, the wine is filtered and bottled.

“Il Lampaggio” remains in the cellar for a further 8 months for the final maturing in bottles, before being sold.

Colour:

A straw-yellow colour, with slight golden reflections,
the bouquet is full of dried, white pulp fruit and exotic fruit scents.

Taste:

Delicate, pleasant and fresh, immediately mellow, elegant and refined.

Ideal With:

As an aperitif or with vegetable-based first courses and seafood dishes.

Another wine in the range of fine wines produced by the Estate, the “Etrusco” white wine is made solely from Chardonnay and Trebbiano grapes, hand-harvested and sorted manually.

Harvesting of the grapes is followed by a soft and delicate pressing and separation of the skins and the must. The “Etrusco” ferments and matures in stainless-steel tanks, where it remains for about 6 months to complete the malolactic fermentation.

At the end of this period of maturing, it is filtered and left for another two months in the bottle, before being ready for sale.
